The British DIY retail group Kingfisher wants to increasingly test new store concepts in future.
“We will develop more compact stores, experiment with innovative stores formats, and explore partnerships including ‘shop-in-shop’, concessions and franchising,” says the report on the full year results of financial year 2019/2020.
That is part of the new strategic plan with the title “Powered by Kingfisher”. Further elements of the new strategy are, among other things, a simpler local-group operating model, an increase in e-commerce sales, a mobile-first, service-oriented customer experience and a differentiation through own exclusive brands.
